Travel Arrangements from Albuquerque to Taos
One hundred years ago, the journey from Albuquerque to Taos took four days on horseback. Today you’ll spend about two and one-half to three hours in transit. You’ll find standard car rental companies at the Albuquerque International Sunport.
Shuttle Service
If you would prefer to have someone else do the driving and want to take a shuttle from the Albuquerque International Sunport to Taos on the same day of your arrival, please plan your airline flight so as to arrive in Albuquerque well before 5 p.m.

Regularly scheduled departures from Taos:
7 a.m. (arrival in ABQ at 9:30 a.m.)

11a.m. (arrival @ 1:30 p.m.)
1:30 p.m. (arrival @ 4 p.m.)

Twin Hearts are willing to schedule extra shuttles for 3 or more
passengers.

Conference Lodging
Conference participants need to make their own lodging reservations in Taos.
We’ve arranged Conference room rates with The Sagebrush Inn, Comfort Suites and Quality Inn, all of which are located two miles south of the Plaza in Taos on Paseo del Pueblo Sur. The Sagebrush Inn and Comfort Suites are adjacent to The Sagebrush Inn Conference Center, with the Quality Inn a short drive from the Conference Center. All rooms offer a strong sense of the Southwest and have free high speed Internet access.
Conference-priced accommodation is filling up: The Sagebrush Inn is now fully booked, there are some rooms available at the Comfort Suites (on the premises), and a good number of rooms can be reserved at the Quality Inn (right up the road from the Sagebrush). Contact the Sagebrush Inn now to make your reservation and be sure to say you are with the Conference in order to get your Conference rate.
Conference rates at The Sagebrush Inn, Comfort Suites and Quality Inn apply
to the period Friday, July 12 (after 2 p.m.) through Tuesday, July 23, 2013,
and are guaranteed for reservations made by June 12, 2013. Reservations made
after June 12, 2013 will be made on a space available basis. Be sure to
cancel your reservation on time and keep your cancellation number in the
event you cannot attend the Conference. Cancellation is 14 days prior to the
arrival date in order to avoid a penalty of one night's room rent.
The Sagebrush Inn, a Taos landmark since 1929, houses an impressive collection of Native American rugs, artifacts, and original paintings. Conference rates: $69-$109 (plus tax) per night includes a full breakfast. Pet rooms are available for an additional charge of $7 per night with reservations.

Conference Dining & Food
Dining is an important chance to get together, and you’ll find lunch and dinner during your stay to be a pleasant mix of arranged events and opportunities to sample interesting restaurants in and around Taos. Weeklong participants and faculty will enjoy a Buffet Dinner & Opening Ceremonies on Sunday evening, July 15. Weeklong and weekend participants and faculty will come together for a Social with Cash Bar and complimentary finger food on Friday evening, July 20. Weekend participants and faculty will enjoy a special Breakfast and Opening Ceremonies on Saturday morning, July 21, as well as a Social with Cash Bar and complimentary finger food on Saturday evening, July 21.
These meals are included in your Conference registration fee.
Breakfast is included with lodging at The Sagebrush Inn, Comfort Suites and Quality Inn.
The Sagebrush Inn also offers an optional, reasonably priced buffet lunch on their beautiful patio each day during the Conference.
