1.   Create a map of the world.

 

 

 

As we see above, Antarctica appears to be a very large landmass.

 

Notice the change to the continent size in the map below where the Earth is projected into the “Equidistant Cylindrical (World) Projection” Coordinate System.

 

 

 

 

 

 

2.  Create a map projection of the United States of America.

 

 

 

 

 

 

3.  Create a map projection of the state of New Mexico.
