Scholarship Competition

The Theta Xi Chapter has a point system designed to reward members and Candidates that stand out as exemplary participants in chapter activities. The Executive Board has designed a system allocating points for participation in:

  • Each activity sponsored by Beta Alpha Psi.
  • Professional activities outside of BAP sponsorship. The executive board will post professional events on the Accounting Lab information board. These events will be accompanied by a point value, applicable towards the Scholarship Competition.
  • The point values for each member and Candidate will be updated on a weekly basis.
  • Results will be posted Online on the website

**Note: Members and Candidates are responsible for submitting a "Reporting Hours" form for all non Beta Alpha Psi activities posted in the Accounting Lab. The "Reporting Hours" forms are available outside the Beta Alpha Psi office, Room # 2052, in the mailbox. This form details the event for reporting purposes to the National Office of the society.
  • To obtain points, your minutes and event description must be on the "Reporting Hours" form, and delivered to the Beta Alpha Psi mailbox in the room next to the main desk on the second floor of ASM. "Reporting Hour" forms are due no later than seven days after the event (no exceptions). Questions: contact Lisa Palmer at (lisa.a.palmer@gmail.com)
  • The top two members and two Candidates, those that have accumulated the highest number of points by the end of the semester, will be awarded scholarships for "OUTSTANDING MERITORIOUS SERVICE" to the society.

Following is a general list of activities and their respective point allocations. ** Note that some activities have a maximum point limit. The Candidates’ point totals will be weighted at 95% their value to reward the hard work completed in the past by our members.
