New Mexico Society of CPAs / BAP Mentorship Program
Through the New Mexico Society of CPAs BAP Mentorship Program, members
of the Beta Alpha Psi Financial Honors Society are supported and guided as they make the transition
from academic studies into professional careers.
In our unique one-on-one Mentor program, experienced, successful CPAs share
their time and expertise with students interested in learning more about what
it means and takes to be an accountant and about the career opportunities that exist in accounting.
Goals of the BAP Mentorship Program include the building of mutually beneficial
relationships, the education of the participants on the various aspects of the
accounting profession and providing the access to a network of professional guidance.
The BAP Mentorship program is rewarding for both mentors and students. Each can
benefit by practicing leadership and communication skills, identifying and achieving
goals and ensuring professional growth.
