How to Apply
Submitting an application to the M.A. or Ph.D. program involves sending some materials to the Office of Admissions (or the Office of International Admissions) and some to the Department of Philosophy, as well as an application to the University itself. One may apply directly to the Ph.D. program without an M.A. in philosophy. Applicants who are not admitted to the Ph.D. program and who do not already have an M.A. in philosophy will automatically be considered for admission to the M.A. program.
