2012.91.122, bowl; Qing dynasty, possibly late 1800s to early 1900s

The base of this bowl has a mark dating it to the reign of Emperor Qianlong
(A.D. 1736-1795) but as often happens with Chinese ceramics, the bowl was
most likely made much later. When Chinese potters duplicated earlier pottery,
they often duplicated the earlier marks as well. The mark in question is
shown below.
