Most of the Qijia culture vessels in this exhibit have faces or other unsual attributes—but that reflects what collectors prefer. This jar is a reminder that Qijia vessels could have very conventional shapes. This jar is just 4 1/2 inches (11 cm) tall, so perhaps it functioned as a cup.
