2012.91.174, Jun ware bowl, Song through Yuan Dynasties (960–1368)

This Jun ware bowl came with a wood presentation stand, which we included in the picture. Such stands indicate that a ceramic vessel was prized by the family that owned it. On this bowl, copper-rich pigment adds a splash of contrast to the dominant sky-blue color.
