UNM Jitterbugs Anonymous will be holding a fall instructor's workshop:
$50 community members
$30 non-JA students (UNM/CNM/Tech student, etc.)
All JA members who have paid their dues get in free! *Please note that you must pay your dues by 11-12-09 to be a JA member.

Peter & Naomi Workshop!
April 22 - 26, 2009
UNM Jitterbugs Anonymous is happy to announce that we're bringing out Peter Strom and Naomi Uyama for a jam-packed workshop weekend, April 24-26, 2009! Dances are on Friday, Saturday and Sunday night starting at 8 PM, and classes begin at 10 AM on Saturday and Sunday and end around 5:30.

Peter Strom originally learned to dance almost exclusively on the dance floor, but has since studied under the biggest names in Lindy Hop. He teaches regular classes with the Lindy Movement in Minneapolis, of which he is a founding member. At the American Lindy Hop Championships, he was the Classic Champion in 2000 and third in Showcase in 2001, and has consistently placed high in national competitions. He has taught workshops throughout the U.S. as well as in Sweden, France and Singapore.
Naomi Uyama discovered lindy hop in her hometown of Washington DC over ten years ago. For the past decade she has taught workshops all around the world and performed for dance and music legends alike. She has won champion titles at such prestigious competitions as the Ultimate Lindy Hop Showdown, the American Lindy Hop Championships, and the U.S. Open Swing Dance Championships. When she's not traveling in the name of triple steps, decorating cakes, or loving libraries, Naomi lives in D.C. and spends most of her life not being Nina Gilkenson, despite the large amounts of people that think she is.
Early registration full weekend pass is only $65! $75 at the door. Out of Towners get a sweet discount, so it's only $50 for you! Price for UNM JA members that are students is FREE with dues.
