The Center for High Technology Materials (CHTM) at the University of New Mexico is an interdisciplinary research organization involving faculty and students from Electrical and Computer Engineering, Physics and Astronomy, and Chemical and Nuclear Engineering. CHTM has programs in optoelectronics, microelectronics, optics, lithography and materials science. Industrial interactions are important to CHTM and the Center maintains research relationships with local and national companies.

MANUFACTURING TRAINING AND TECHNOLOGY CENTER

ALBUQUERQUE TECHNOLOGY INCUBATOR

The Albuquerque Technology Incubator is home to 13 companies in various stages of the startup process. It is one of three incubators managed by the Business Technology Group (BTG), a non-profit corporations created by the Albuquerque business and technology community to further technology-based eceonomic development, BTG provides modestely priced space and shared office equipment, computer and telecommunications facilities. The Incubator consists of 6,000 square feet of office suites, conference rooms and common areas, with teh balance devoted to lab space and clean room area.

LOCKHEED MARTIN CORPORATION

This facility houses units of Lockheed Martin Corporation, including Technology Ventures Corporation which was formed for the specific purpose of commercializing technology developed at Sandia National Laboratories. In addition to TVC, several national and regional venture capital funds are located in this facility.

PARK CENTER

The Park Center is devoted entirely to office suites and the Executive Conference Room. The office of Albuquerque Economic Development, Inc., an industrial recruitment organization is located in Park Center. It is also the location of the Property Management Office of the Science and Technology Park.

Park North is also the location of a 2,971 square foot flexible seathing, multi-purpose auditorium available for Park tenants' use.

ADVANCED MATERIALS LABORATORY

The principal tenant of this facility is the Advanced Materials Laboratory, a collaborative research effort of researchers from Sandia National Laboratories, the University New Mexico and U.S. companies. Its focus is materials synthesis, processing and charcterization. AML is a DOE User Facility, which allows access by qualified U.S. companies for collaborative work. Also located in this facility is the TVI Intel Workforce Training Center.
