Dr. Patricia Gillikin
Program Coordinator of Developmental English
Dr. Gillikin, a member of the English Department, is the Program Coordinator of Developmental English, which resides in Transitional Studies. Patricia serves as the liaison between Highway to Success and the Department of English. She makes decisions about the curriculum and courses taught in Developmental English. She also makes sure that there is a seamless transition between developmental English and College English. She brings the following expertise to this area:
- She earned her Ph.D. in English from Texas Christian University in 1996 with a specialization in Rhetoric and Composition, Feminists Theory, and 19th Century British Women’s Literature.
- She was awarded an M.A. in English from The College of William and Mary in 1989, writing her thesis in Medieval Poetry.
- B.A. in English and Education from the University of Dallas in 1988.
