Are you looking for a career change or perhaps a second income?
The Health Care field continues to expand with many employment opportunities. You could earn your Certified Nursing Assistant or your Personal Care Attendant in one semester or less!
Health Education programs consist of diverse experiences with lecture/theory applications, laboratory skill practice, and a clinical practicum.
Each course is designed to prepare students for state or national certification. Clinical practicum hours differ according to the program. Clinical components take place in a health care facility and occur in a consecutive fashion.
UNM offers a variety of health care programs each semester to meet your busy schedule.
The Nursing program/classes will be a two year program. The New Mexico Board of Nursing Approved the program and the first 16 nursing students began on August 2010. Please continue to check this website for future information.
The nursing program is now located on the first floor of the Student Community Center, west of the Bookstore & Wellness Center.
