Federal Pell Grant
The Federal Pell Grant is a need based grant which requires the FAFSAto be completed in order to determine eligibility.
Students must provide certain income information, i.e. Federal tax return, child support paid/received, social security benefits, or TANF benefits.
A minimum enrollment status of three credit hours is usually required.
A Federal Pell Grant is not repaid. Students must adhere to the Satisfactory Academic Progress Guidelines in order to continue receiving the Federal Pell Grant.
Enrollment status of at least half time is required.
SEOG is not repaid.
Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (SEOG)
This program is for students who demonstrate exceptional financial need as determined by the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid).
New Mexico Supplemental Student Incentive Grant (NMSSIG)
The NMSSIG combines federal and state funds in order to permit financially needy New Mexicans to pursue a higher education.
To be eligible for this program, a student must be enrolled as a half-time student.
A NMSSIG does not have to be repaid.
