The Federal Department of Education’ philosophy is that students and students’ family are to be the primary resource in funding a college education. In addition to one’s own financial contribution, there are numerous resources of aid. Through our web site, we hope to assist students in locating funding to meet educational costs.

The Free Application For Federal Student Aid (FAFSA ), should be completed to determine a student’s eligibility for federal aid. Federal aid includes: Federal Pell Grant, Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant, Federal College Work Study, Federal Perkins Loan and Federal Family Education Loan Programs.

The State of New Mexico also offers financial aid to eligible students. Please refer to the State of New Mexico link for information about those resources.

At UNM-Valencia Campus, students can apply for need based and merit based scholarships. Students will find information about the application process at the Scholarships link
