- No one really. I was a loner child, teased and picked on growing up so I retreated to books. Can't remember when I fell in love with reading but I remember all the traveling I got to do and the adventures I participated in. For me, it was a way to run away, see the world through other peoples' eyes. I still read 1-2 books a month. I firmly believe that reading helped me to be great at writing.
