Creating a Scavenger Hunt

Objectives
  • Create a scavenger hunt for the other half of your class that:
    • Introduces the most important facts about the Valencia Campus Library to you the student
    • Provides an opportunity for the student to use the Library
Tools
Directions
  1. Divide into 2 groups.
  2. Each group will develop a scavenger hunt to be used as a homework assignment.
  3. The audience for the scavenger hunt is pairs of students from the other group.
  4. Each scavenger hunt must have 6 questions.
    • 3 questions must be factual. (What time does the Library open?)
    • 3 questions must be activities. (Find a map of Arizona and write down its call number or take a picture of it with your cell phone camera.)
    • All questions must have an answer.
  5. The team developing the scavenger hunt, must do it to ensure that it works.
  6. After your hunt is finished, save the word file to the Student Folder "Valencia Campus Library" and print the number of copies you are instructed.
  7. Divide your team into pairs and as homework, complete your classmate's scavenger hunt.
  8. The team members that create the best Scavenger Hunt (as determined by LeAnn) will receive a Library Coupon book.
