Which
article index to use depends upon your topic.
1. General Article Indexes
- Is
your topic general or cross-disciplinary?
- Currently
in the news?
If so, start
with one of the general article indexes. These cover a wide range
of subjects and often index a mixture of popular
and scholarly sources. This is often a good place to
begin research. Examples of general indexes and the kinds of articles
they identify are:

from 1971 to the present. Many are full text. Also includes some New Mexico newspapers. Available off campus. |

A general interest database that integrates a variety of sources - newspapers, reference books, magazines, and trade publications.
Find articles on current events, popular culture, business and industry trends, the arts and sciences, sports, hobbies, and more. Coverages is from 1980-current. Includes some full text. Available off-campus.

Indexing and abstracts for more than 8,200 journals, with full text for more than 4,500 of those titles. PDF backfiles to 1975 or further are available for well over one hundred journals, and searchable cited references are provided for nearly 1,000 titles.
