Summer 2010 Calendar

Summer classes will begin on June 7th. There will be eight classes; four will meet on Mondays and Wednesdays, four will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Classes will run from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Lunch will be provided. Fridays are reserved for field trips, cultural awareness activities, and community service projects.

Courses that will be offered during the summer session will include language arts, reading strategies, math, science (organic chemistry and alternative energy sources), sign language, drama, financial literacy, computer applications, computer graphics, and Web design. Students will be assigned courses according to need and grade level. Schedules will be handed out during the orientations on the 7th and 8th.

Fri. June 18 8:30 a.m. Movie: The Boy in the Striped Pajamas and trip to the Holocaust Museum
Fri. June 25 8:30 a.m. Trip to Los Ranchos de Los Golindrinas outside of Santa Fe

July 2010
Fri. July 2 8:30 a.m. Community service at tne Roadrunner Food Bank in morning and swimming in the afternoon
Mon. July 5 Holiday - No classes
Fri. July 9 9 a.m. Field Trip to UNM's climbing wall
Thurs. July 15 Last day of classes
Fri. July 16 9 a.m. End of Summer Presentation and Luncheon
Fri. July 16 12:30 p.m. Colorado Trip Briefing for students and parents
Sun. July 18 - Fri. July 23 8:30 a.m. Trip to Colorado to visit colleges aand universities

August 2010
