Assessment Scores

First of all, remember that it is impossible to flunk these assessment exams! We simply use the scores you receive to give us an idea of what you need to work on in order to prepare for the GED Exam.

The assessments, which are divided into levels, typically have 30 to 40 questions each and are given a weighted grade up to 269 points. Generally speaking, a score of 246 or better on both assessments is required before a student is cleared to take the GED practice tests. A student scoring less than 246 on any assessment will be placed in a Computer Based Instruction Class and a series of Power Up workshops. These workshops are designed to help prepare you for intensive GED courses.
