Practice GED Scores

Once you complete your Practice GED, a tutor or your instructor will grade the exams and a score will be calculated for each individual exam. Exam scores can range from 0 up to 800 points.

In order to pass the Practice GED, you must score at least 470 on each exam, but you must have an average score of 500 points per exam. This means that you have to score significantly better than 470 on at least one exam.

The minimum passing score for the Practice GED is just a bit higher than what is required for the Official GED. We require these extra few points on the Practice exam, just to make sure you're really, really ready for the Official Exam. We've found that students go into the Official exam with a lot more confidence when they've passed the Practice Exam with this higher requirement. This, in turn, leads to a higher level of success when our students take the Official GED.
