Class sessions at the Adult Education Center are on a different schedule than other departments at UNM-VC. Typically, we run on a five-week schedule, with four weeks of instruction and one week of testing. During this testing week, your instructor or a tutor will administer another series of assessment tests. These assessments are the same series of tests that are given during the intake process, however you will be given a different exam booklet in order to keep from skewing the results.
The re-assessments are scored and evaluated using the same criteria that was used in evaluating your initial assessments. Once the assessment is scored, your instructor or a tutor will discuss the scores with you and place you in a new series of classes for the next class session.
Please note: we typically do not re-assess students at any time other than during the designated testing week for each session.
