So, you've gotten through all your classes, passed your Practice Exams and taken the Test-Taking Strategies workshop. Congratulations! That's quite an achievement. You're now ready for the last hurdle: the Official GED.
The first step in taking the Official GED is registering for the exam. You'll go over this process in the Test-Taking Strategies workshop, but let's talk about the basics here.
For each scheduled exam, there is a deadline for registration, which is typically five days before the start of the exam. To register for the GED, you need to pick up your official folder from the Adult Education office, then go to the Cashier's office to pay the $40 registration fee. After paying the fee, you need to go to the Assessment Center in the Student Services area and actually sign up for the exam. You will need two forms of identification in order to register for the exam. For detailed information about registering for the exam, visit the Assessment Center webpage.
