Test-Taking Strategies

Once you've achieved a score of 246 or better on your assessment exams, you'll be placed in the Practice Test cycle. As a part of this cycle, you'll need to complete a two-hour Test-Taking Strategies workshop.

The Test-Taking Strategies workshop is focused specifically on giving you the winning edge you need to get through the GED exam. In the workshop, you'll talk about the forms that you'll have to fill out when you take the test, then you'll look at the process and time allotments for the official exam.

During the workshop, you'll also practice with the model of calculator you'll be using in the official exam and you'll look at all of the various alternative input formats you might encounter in the exam. The workshop finishes up with a discussion of important strategies and tips to help you succeed in the official GED exam.
