At any time while you're in the GED program, you may make an appointment for extra tutoring. Tutors will work with you one-on-one to help you with any GED topic that's giving you trouble.
It's easy to set up a tutoring appointment. Just stop by the front desk in the Adult Education office (see the map on the About Us page) or call (505) 925-8900. You may schedule up to one appointment per day, any day that the Adult Education Center is open. Your appointment will be with the tutor of your choice, assuming that tutor is available. Tutoring sessions can be 30 minutes to 1 hour in length.
To get the most out of your tutoring session, make a list of specific topics that you need help with. The more detailed you can be in telling the tutor what help you need, the more productive your tutoring session will be. It would also help if you can tell the tutor what learning style you prefer. If you're not sure what your learning style is, take a look at the learning style assessment links on the Student Resources page.
