Interest Inventories and Assessments
A
career advisor is available to assist those who are undecided regarding their
career selection by administering various interest inventories. Interest
Inventories assist individuals deciding on a career by presenting numerous
career activities to the user and having the user rate the activities. The
results indicate career preferences in the areas that are rated highest. The
interest inventories can be administered one-to-one or to groups.
The
Career Center contains a collection of career development and placement
information that includes college catalogs, career guidance references,
employment literature and opportunities, and resources on job-seeking
strategies.
Students
receive assistance with clarifying their interests, aptitudes and work values
through counseling, assessments and interpretation, workshops and career
counseling. Students may explore and research career opportunities utilizing the Choices System, which is a computerized database containing career
information.
Choices provide students with up-to-date information on both local
and national job markets, job markets, salary information, training
requirements, related job suggestions and much more!
