Bid Form & Guidelines
for Adjunct Faculty to Bid on Classes for the 2008 Summer Semester

Welcome to our on-line system for submitting adjunct faculty bid forms.  Bid forms are required of adjunct faculty and must be submitted online.  If you have not yet submitted an application for inclusion in the adjunct faculty pool, please submit your application to Human Resources before they can be considered for a teaching assignment in the fall (see paragraph below starting with "Note:" for instructions on how to submit an application).

NOTE:  Please read the following information carefully;
further below you'll find a link to the online bid form.

The bid forms are used to indicate which courses you are interested in teaching during the upcoming fall semester.  All adjunct faculty and faculty applicants, who are currently in the adjunct faculty pool are sent these forms. All current adjunct faculty as well as all applicants who submit a bid will be considered for a teaching assignment. Those who do not submit a bid will not be considered for a teaching assignment for the 2008 summer semester but will remain in the adjunct faculty pool.

NOTE:  If you are not in the current adjunct faculty pool  (i.e., you have never applied or submitted an application prior to 2007), you will need to submit an application in order to be considered.  You may submit an online application at the following web site:  http://www.unm.edu/~vclasses/schedule/adjunct.htm or you may access a paper form at http://www.unm.edu/~unmvc/forms/Supplemental Appl.pdf.  Either way, you will need to submit transcripts and other information listed in the application to our Human Resources office.

Once full-time faculty instruction is determined, department chairs select the most qualified part-time instructor for each course/section from the pool.  Selected adjunct faculty will be sent a teaching agreement indicating the course/s we are offering for you to teach.

Please call 925-8602 for questions regarding minimum and desired qualifications for the areas of instruction.  Updated resumes or other updated information should be mailed to Human Resources at 280 La Entrada, Los Lunas, NM  87031.

The courses and number that we are tentatively intending to offer for the 2008 summer semester are based on perceived needs (i.e., program requirements, needs of transfer students, recent enrollment trends, etc.).  Click here to view the list of courses we are tentatively intending to offer during the 2008 summer semester.   For more specific information on these courses, please refer to the 2006-2008 UNM-Valencia catalog or the web: http://www.unm.edu/~vclasses/catalog/.
