Event Description:
This symposium features panels and presentations on topics such as Substance Abuse, Public Behavioral Health in
New Mexico and the Criminal Justice System, Cyberbullying, Managing Mental Health, Structural Racism and Public
Health, and others, and will draw experts in public health and law from the UNM and surrounding community.

Stephanie Hall, MD, is the Associate Dean Clinical Affairs at the USC Keck School of Medicine and the Chief Medical
Officer of the Los Angeles County + University of Southern California Healthcare Network. The title of her talk
is, "Mental Illness and the Community: Engaging Questions on Civic Literacy, Public Health, & Social Justice."
