Susan Romano

During her doctorate work, Susan Romano specialized in histories of rhetoric and writing instruction and computers and composition. She has published articles on gender and ethnicity in electronic environments, on feminist pedagogy, and on the impact of technology on writing program administration. Recent and forthcoming publications examine rhetoric and writing instruction in colonial and contemporary Mexico and in the southwest borderlands. She is co-editor of Peitho, the newsletter of the Coalition of Women Scholars in the History of Rhetoric and Composition, and she is co-editor of a collection of essays on the future of doctoral education in rhetoric and composition.
