Come join in the celebration of Bike To Work Day!
Give your car a rest and save a little money while you're at it.
Get in shape and conserve on gas by biking your way to work!
What: Bike To Work Day, brought to you by BikeABQ, is a day to skip out on your usual mode of transportation and ride your bike to work. In addition to five food stop locations, there will be giveaways, prizes, and drawings.
There will be a free drawing for a mountain bicycle and other prizes. There will also be a special “Bike Buddie” contest this year. So, gather up all your friends and co-workers who have not tried bicycle commuting and bring them to a food stop. Bike Buddies who bring the most new cyclists will be awarded gift certificates to local restaurants.
When: On May 19, 2006 Albuquerque bycicle commuters can visit any or all of the five food stop locations.
Time: 7:00am-9:00am and 11:00am-1:00pm
Where: Betweeen 7:00am-9:00am stop by four of the five locations for breakfast.
Downtown: Alvarado Transit Center NM Rail Runner Downtown Station (1 st and Central)
Uptown: Uptown Transit Center (near America’s Parkway & Indian School)
Heights: Erna Fergusson Library next to Paseo del Noreste Trail near San Mateo
Journal Center: North Diversion Trail next to the Journal Center bridge
And Between 11:00am and 1:00pm stop by UNM to enjoy a little afternoon snack.
