I am a Ph.D. candidate in the labs of Joseph Cook and
Jeremy Edwards at the University of New Mexico, where I
use next-generation sequencing technologies and bioinformatics
to test questions in evolutionary biology and biomedicine. In my dissertation research, I am using genomic sequencing to explore the molecular basis of high-elevation adaptation in two vertebrate clades of wild Andean animals. In addition to these projects, I am also involved in a number of other collaborative genomic and transcriptomic efforts.
