I taught a one-week course in February, 2005 for the Brazil Linguistics Association in Brasilia. Also on this trip I visited Florianopolis, where I worked with colleagues at the University of Santa Catarina. The final stop was a series of lectures at the University of São Paulo. Brazil is a country of great beauty — scenic, musical, and its people.
