1. File the Free Application for Federal Student Aid;

2. Complete your UNM Financial Aid file;

3. Once awarded, you may begin looking for jobs on our JobWeb or check with departments on campus;

4. Interview at the jobs of your choice;

5. Your department will contact you once your Hiring Proposal is submitted to the Student    Employment Office

6. At the Student Employment Office, you will complete the following:

7. Complete Online Customer Service Training;

8. Fill out a demographic; Complete a W-4 form;

9. Bring documentation to complete an I-9 form http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/I-9.pdf

 


If you have 2 or more jobs, you will need to complete a Two Job Memo

Graduate Students who have a job through Graduate Studies must complete an FTE Change Form

After you've completed these steps, Work Study will put you on payroll, and you'll be paid either through paychecks or Direct Deposit.

Remember, you must be attending at least 1/2 time (6 hours per semester for Fall and Spring semesters, 3 hours for Summer semester) to work at a Work Study job!!
