During exercise the secretion of glucagon, norepinephrine, and epinephrine increase glycogenolysi, thus providing more glucose for anaerobic exercise. Note: Cortisol is more involved in gluconeogenesis during sustained bouts of aerobic exercise when carbohydrate resources are depleting. |
