Susan Romano, PhD University of Texas at Austin, has published articles on gender and ethnicity in electronic environments, on feminist pedagogy, and on the impact of technology on writing program administration. Recent and forthcoming publications examine rhetoric and writing instruction in colonial and contemporary Mexico and in the southwest borderlands. Her article "Tlaltelolco:The Grammatical-Rhetorical Indios of Colonial Mexico" received the Richard Ohmann award. She is co-editor of Peitho, the newsletter of the Coalition of Women Scholars in the History of Rhetoric and Composition, and co-editor of Culture Shock and the Practice of Profession: Training the New Wave in Rhetoric and Composition, Hampton Press, 2005. Currently she is Director of Rhetoric and Writing at UNM English.
