Welcome!

The UNM Hobbit Society is a student-founded organization on the campus of the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA.

The purpose of our group is to meet and associate with others interested in Tolkien, and to learn more about the author, his written works, and his sources through discussion, guest lectures and academically-oriented activities.

If you would like to be added to the UNM Hobbit Society listserv to be informed of meetings and other events, please use our Contact page to contact the faculty advisor or current president.

We now have a Facebook page! Just search for UNM Hobbit Society and you will find us.

Even if you cannot attend our meetings, you can discuss the works of J.R.R. Tolkien any time on our Green Dragon blog.

News
UNM Hobbit Society is now recognized as a source for collectible Tolkien-related calendars, with our own page on The Compleat Gyd to Tolkien Calendars.
