In
some cultures, water is honored with elaborate offerings left
on shore. Considered holy, it is blessed by priests, used for baptism,
sprinkled on crowds, and put into bowls on altars. Why has this element
been revered in some societies, and yet taken for granted and abused by
others? This chapter consists of sculptures relating to the spiritual
context of water.
