The Bureau of Business and Economic Research (BBER) at the University of New Mexico is committed to contributing to the understanding of economic and demographic issues in New Mexico by collecting and disseminating information, providing technical expertise, and analyzing and conducting applied research for a diverse constituency including community organizations, businesses, labor unions, government officials, academia, students and others. Through these efforts, BBER will further the public service and educational missions of the University of New Mexico and contribute to the economic well-being of New Mexico residents.

Tenth Annual New Mexico Data Users Conference
The annual NM Data Users Conference is scheduled for Thursday, November 6th in Albuquerque. More information, along with the agenda and registration form, are posted on our web site.
New Data Tables
We've posted tables showing estimates of population by age, sex, race and ethnicity for the state and counties. These estimates, from 2000 to 2007, are from the U.S. Census Bureau.
New BBER Population Projections for 2005 to 2035
A new round of population projections by age and sex for New Mexico counties are now available on CD. We've posted totals by 5-year intervals, along with corresponding growth rates, on this web site.
