As of July 1, 1998, the Clinical Trials Center became a "Full Service" Clinical Trials Center. What does "Full Service" mean to you? It means that with each new research study being conducted in the Clinical Trials Center, the CTC staff will work directly with you, the Controller’s Office, the Human Review and Research Committee, the pharmacy and University Hospital’s Accounting Department. The CTC staff will do all administrative aspects of the study including: budget preparation, writing consents, submitting HRRC paperwork, submitting budgets and agreements to the Controller’s Office, submitting paperwork to the pharmacy, preparing purchase requisitions to the HRRC, CTC, pharmacy and to UH Accounting, and we will work directly with the sponsor of the study. All of this effort (an estimated 100 man hours) is at no charge, as long as you randomize 25% of the projected number of volunteers into the study. If you are unable to randomize 25% of the projected number of volunteers into the study, an administration fee of $ 2,000.00 will be assessed to your account to reimburse us for our administration services. We can take the hassle out of getting a study started. All services previously provided by the CTC are still available to you.
Please see the diagram for services available in the new "Full Service" Clinical Trials Center.
