Charles was born on Dec. 13, 1819 and died Aug. 14, 1888. He married Barbara Wiland and they had eight children:

1. Hiram Wiland, Married Mary Slichter.

2. Abraham Wiland, married Mary Ann Swonger.

3. Catharine, married (1) Jacob G. Shuman; married (2) Jacob S. Wentz.

4. William Wiland, "in the west."

5. Barbara Ann, Chambersburg. Pa.

6. Charles Wiland, died July, 1865, 77th Reg. Pa. Vols. at Green
Lake, Tex.

7. Mary Jane, Chambersburg. Pa.

8. Elizabeth, born 1848; died 1855.
