Volume 7

STUDENT DAYS AT WESTERN

November 2, 1981

PREFACE

Stories in this volume are accounts of some experiences I had while attending Western Kentucky State Teachers College (now Western Kentucky University}--experiences which still remain quite clear in my memory of those college days in the late 1920's and early 1930's.

As was the case in earlier volumes of the "I Was There" series, I write here only what I remember happening to me during those years. Any deviation from the true facts caused by a fading recollection of events that took place more than fifty years ago is not intended to mislead, but rather to provide better continuity and greater interest for the reader.
