Design, manage, and assess University Libraries information literacy program. Coordinate, teach, and evaluate course-related instruction sessions in education, humanities, and social sciences. Coordinate creation of instruction web pages and develop learning objects to complement and supplement the information literacy program. Supervise full-time instructional staff. Coordinate work with librarians who have part-time instruction assignments. Chair instruction committee. Plan, conduct, and assess training for program instructors. Align learning outcomes with curricula and strategic plans and keep current with curricular changes. Seek partnerships and collaborate with faculty and staff in departments and programs. Advocate for the library and promote information literacy and instruction services. Design and propose new instruction spaces and take care of existing instruction spaces. Participate in University orientation and outreach activities. Serve as member of Library Operations Cabinet.

 

Serve at Zimmerman and Centennial Science and Engineering Library reference desks. Select materials for and function as liaison to the Communication Studies & Journalism Department, the Department of Cinematic Arts, and the Interdisciplinary Film and Digital Media Program. Serve as Faculty Mediator for the UNM Faculty Dispute Resolution program.

Students assessed their learning style and took a study strategies inventory. Students worked out systematic strategies for time and stress management, study skills, and test taking. Students developed library research skills in order to write a short research paper.
