Assistance in Drinking Water Treatment for the Pine Hill School and Water Hauler Community on the Ramah Navajo Reservation
Purpose: To provide educational, technical and material assistance to help community of Pine Hill and water haulers on the Ramah Navajo Reservation to obtain safe drinking water. Pilot treatment tests will be carried out to determine the best method to remove arsenic and radium from the school water system. In addition, methods for purifying water from 12 unregulated stock wells used by members of the community who are not on the public water system will be tested with assistance of community members including students from the school.
