SYNOPSIS:
The island Caribe is governed by Eleazar and Margot Bustamante, guilty of a terrible crime whose consequences still haunt them some thirty years later.  The story of this country, where people struggle to forge a better tomorrow, is also the story of Manolita Contreras (Carolina Perpetuo).  Manolita's passion for life leads her to become an aspiring writer, discover love and take note of the nation's harsh political reality.  Manolita's love is Luis Alfredo Alfonso (Miguel de León), intimate friend of president Bustamante's son, who will provide her with the strength and support she needs.  Caribe is passionate, mysterious, intriguing and packed with conflict.  It is a fictional place filled with the realities of life, the harbor of dreams and the magic of love.
