Program Overview:

Funded through a grant from the National Science Foundation (NSF), the UNM Science, Technology.Engineering, and Mathematics Scholarship Program (S-STEM) started in Spring 2007. S-STEM is an extension of the former Computer Science, Engineering, and Mathematics Scholarship (CSEMS) Program to include additional science fields.

The goal of this project is to provide the necessary financial and academic assistance to undergraduate students enrolled full time in the School of Engineering (SOE) and/or College of Arts & Sciences (A&S), pursuing a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in any of the following fields:

  • Computer Science

  • Engineering: Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Construction Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Nuclear Engineering; and students admitted through the pre-major engineering program planning to major in Engineering or Computer Science.

This scholarship program is administered through UNM's Engineering Student Services (ESS).
