Transnational Ecosystems Learning Exchange (TELE)
support the learning and scientific needs of a diverse international community of
students and teachers.
TELE project seeks to encourage collaboration among
learners and educators using emergent technologies and platforms freely
available and accessible. This
facilitates an open exchange of dialogue and data. Initial content surrounds
the concept of global ecosystems. The basis of scientific exchange is derived
based on stakeholder need and requisite scientific program curriculum in
support of the ECO Club international prototype housed at one of the partner
sites.
The goals of
the TELE program are to
1) Increase
cross-cultural awareness of global ecosystems
2) Establish a
scientific community of inquiry for knowledge exchange among target audience of
17-18 year olds.
Schools that have
indicated intent to participate in the project are:
Nagarjuna Academy High School, Kathmandu, Nepal. Site coordinator, Amit Bikram Sijapati is a social studies
teacher who also coordinates a very active Nagarjuna Eco-Club for students.
St. Pius X High School,
Albuquerque, New Mexico. Principal Barbara Rothweiler,
