Meet Angelique Maldonado
Angelique Works for the Water Utility in
Albuquerque, NM. She is a
graduate student at the University of New Mexico.
Angelique works with the Water Balance for the Water
Resources available in Albuquerque, NM.
Science doesn't stop with work for Angelique . Her work for the TELE project extends out to
students in Nepal, and Albuquerque, NM.
Nora Nevera and Angelique Maldonado, in coordination with the
OLIT program at the University of New Mexico have created a Science
Resource to ‘Bridge the Gap’ between the students from Nagarjuna, Nepal
and the students from St. Pius X High School, Albuquerque.
St. Pius High School students strive to develop well-rounded
individuals. The many extra-curricular clubs and organizations, including
TELE, offered at the school provide activities for students to develop
leadership, serve the community, reach out to other students and learn
outside the classroom.
Nagarjuna believes that “Students should not be just
book worms”, therefore we make every effort to provide them great deals
of opportunities to broaden no only their subject knowledge but also
comprehensive knowledge with the recent developments. Science continues into the summer for
some students who participate as summer field research apprentices in
nearby wildlife reserves.
