Installation of wireless data transmission at the Sevilleta LTER

Supported by NSF DBI (0330429)

Since summer of 2004, we have been installing a wireless network at the Sevilleta LTER to provide internet access to field research equipment (primarily dataloggers), web cams and internet connectivity for PCs used by field researchers across a significant fraction of the nearly 100,000 hectares at the Sevilleta National Wildlife Refuge. The network has expanded in fits and starts as we gain experience with the performance of the existing network, as new opportunities arise and as personnel are available to enable installation campaigns.
