Late Registration Help

  • Most UNM courses are 16 weeks long, but there are some Second Half (2H) 8 Week courses with different registration deadlines as well as limited Late Starting Fall Semester options (short-term classes offered between the last Friday of Fall and the Sunday before the Spring term begins).
  • To search for these courses, you will open the "Advanced Search" feature in the registration portal and select "Second Half Term" or "Late Starting Courses" under the "Part of Term" filter.  If you are not looking for a particular subject you can leave that field blank, as well as all other fields, and your results will provide all scheduled Second Half or Late Starting courses for viewing.
  • You can also visit the "Schedule of Classes Online Public Search" website and navigate to the "Quick View" located at the bottom of that page.
  • Please note that enrollment is restricted for some 2H online classes and requires admission to an Accelerated Online Program.

Declaring a major

When you are ready to do this you will need to meet with the college or school who offers the program you want to declare.  This website lists the many different undergraduate degrees offered by UNM and this website provides further contact information for those programs.  Instructions on how to schedule appointments with other advisors may be found here.
