Prof. Zarkesh-Ha received M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Sharif University, Tehran, Iran, in 1994 and Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, GA, in 2001, respectively. Prior to joining University of New Mexico in 2006, he was a senior research engineer with LSI Logic Corporation, Milpitas, CA, where he worked on interconnect architecture design for the next ASIC generations. While he was at LSI Logic Corporation, he served as industry liaison for LSI Logic Corporation with Semiconductor Research Corporation (SRC).

In 2006, he joined the faculty of the University of New Mexico, Albuquerque, where is currently a Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering. His research interests are statistical modeling of VLSI systems, design for manufacturability and reliability, low-power and high-performance VLSI design.

Prof. Zarkesh-Ha is author of a book chapter, Interconnect Technology Design for Gigascale Integration (Kluwer Academic Publishers, 2003) and a co-author of a textbook, CMOS Digital Integrated Circuits: A First Course, (SciTech Publishing, 2012). He is author or co-author of over 100 peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings and holds 20 issued patents. He is also a member of New York Academy of Sciences (NYAS), and a senior member of Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
