September 1, 2004 Meeting Minutes
Hello everyone!
Here's an outline of what happened at our first meeting:
- UNM is holding a Research & Creativity
Symposium on November 22 and HSAC is interested in possibly presenting
a paper, poster, etc. There will be an informational meeting on Tuesday
September 7 from 3:30 – 5:00 pm in Dane Smith Hall room 123. Trina Leo,
WM Hampton, and I (Jessica) will be attending and reporting back with
all the details to everyone at out next meeting. Everyone is welcome to
come to this meeting.
- We have decided to do Project Share and continue
with Wherry Elementary... more details on the way!
- The Budget Workshop is coming up starting this
Friday. Adrian Perez, Allison Chavez, and Jamilee Gerzon have signed up
to attend. If anyone else would like to go, contact Adrian at
aperez1@unm.edu for more details.
- Senior Day is Saturday September 11. We will have
a booth with information on the honors program and HSAC for high school
seniors to check out. Sarah Blankenship, Adrian Perez, and Lauren
Hunley have signed up. Set up will take place at 11:45 and the
organization fair will run from 12:30 – 2:30 pm in the SUB ballroom.

- President Caldera has proposed having an "Honors
House" and we were asked for suggestions on what primary purposes this
house should have. If you have any suggestions, email Allie at
automatical@aol.com.
- Josh Alexander has agreed to be our Senior Rep...

- Finally, our "Get to Know You" / "Welcome Back"
Picnic will be on Sunday, September 19 at 1 pm at the park on Lomas and
Carlisle (behind the Walgreens). More details on that at our next
meeting which will be Wednesday September 15 at 6:30 pm in the honor's
forum. Hope to see all of you there!!! :)
